Approach to Tutoring​

  1. Lessons are designed to be rewarding, stimulating, challenging and to make learning enjoyable​.
  2. Lessons are focused on and tailored to meet the needs of the individual student. 
  3. Weaknesses are identified and developed into strengths. 
  4. Lots of attention is given to exam technique and structuring of answers as well as the theoretical content.
  5. Applied learning - to exam questions and to real life problems and scenarios. 
  6. Detailed and comprehensive notes are provided per topic to aid revision. 
  7. All aspects of the syllabus are covered.
  8. Full and up to date knowledge of the different exam boards and specifications.
  9. All exam boards are covered. 
  10. Difficult and challenging topics are covered in such a way that they become interesting, fun and easy. 
  11. Curiosity encouraged and developed so that all students become independent and life-long learners. 
  12. Lessons are interactive and are designed to build students' motivation for learning as well as their self-confidence. 
  13. Regular feedback is provided to the students and their parents.
  14. Progress is regularly reviewed (e.g. through assignments and progress tests) to ensure that aims and objectives are met. 
  15. In group lessons, all students are encouraged to contribute and participate. There is plenty of healthy competition. 
  16. Homework is set and reviewed.
